Review of Dan Da Dan

I was afraid I would not like this anime. That it'd just be a gimmicky sort of story about aliens and ghosts that'd maybe keep me intrigued for one week or so. Instead, I got a really funny, really compelling, really earnest story that is told through excellent animation and soundtracks. It's a very high quality series. It's semi-episodic, but the overarching plot is pretty interesting. Maybe it won't catch you if you're not interested in teenage romance, but I personally am not and still enjoyed it. I can't give it more because this season finishes on a rather jarring cliffhanger, which honestly I think is moreto blame on production issues than something from the writers. Oh well.
