I'm seeing a lot of hate for this show and I don't really understand why. Did you think by seeing Yasuke's name it was going to be a by the book historical drama? There is literally giant mecha and psychic powers in the trailer. I would say take it in the same vain as Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter. I am bias because of my love of Flying Lotus' music because I've been listening to him since 2010. So I can see how some people don't like the music. This was an enjoyable watch. While I felt some of the dialogue could of used some work. Itfelt like a love letter to a lot of anime tropes from an American perspective.
