Review of Darwin's Game
If you didn't want to die you shouldn't be born at all. here is a modern age survival genre here you get no say in the matter and force to kill and got nothing better thing to do but kill time. like the idea of having a mobile gacha game type deal however they don't dive into very much other than what they show you and the capability that it has. i kind of expected to be like kings game or the ones within anime but it actually better and good then those other two anime that i just mention. the biggest downfall of this showthou would be the story.
Story: it gonna be a bloody good time! it gonna be a bloody good time! well here the thing is has gore and blood but on a smaller scale which kind of disappointing for anime that rely on death and gore. but the Gacha thing is actually pretty cool i'll admit that and that fact they it can be a deciding factor in battle for sure. where the story thou? is it to defeat the 8th clan or the game master or to survive or to not to kill I think the anime Darwin game doesn't know what or where it want to go. At the very least ability is pretty cool and actually has a purpose behind them whether it be history or a gimmick.
Character: i do like the variety of character they give and how the fit in the into the anime each one has a unique personalities and gives a reason why they should die or live and yet it mainly survival and greed and empathies on Greed is the main reason why anyone would play i mean it million of yen and funny thing is people would or could kill for less and that just how the world works. we live and we die nothing more to it.
Art: nothing fancy here other than the flow of the battle and character attention to detail and you can find pleasing in away but hey going to a safe route is always the best bet.
Sound: the op is good not the best but do enjoy for the most part however i really like the ED it gives it edge where it needed to be and as for the combat scene music is great nothing wrong there however it doesn't give enough hype for battle thou it 'll do for sure.
Overall: if there was a second season i would watch myself i like to see where they go with this and plus i feel like the plot would be finally be laid out for us in term of what direction there aim for rather than a hear say kind of thing. if your a fan of gacha game give this a try you might like it but if your a fan of survival type anime this won't keep you at the edge of your seat nor quench your thirst for it however it is a good pass time anime and at the very least it will get you thinking a little.
