Review of Redo of Healer

About halfway through watching this anime, I spent about 30 minutes on a run trying to think of a single thing I thought was good about this anime, and I couldn’t think of one. Now that I am done, I have to force myself if I want to say something good about it. If you want to see lots of forced and unnecessary sex and people getting punished in the worse imaginable way possible, I guess this is for you. Otherwise, this is probably the worst thing you have seen. About 50% of the scenes made me extremely uncomfortable and the rest were just, well,bad. The characters are about as 1 dimensional as possible and have no complexities, at all (save for maybe one moment from Keyaru in episode 12 that was extremely forced). The animation is very lazy for the most part (save for one battle in the last episode that ended poorly and, you know, the sex in every episode that was forced in there), and the art was nothing special. The plot is the most boring, forced depiction of revenge you possibly can find with zero complexities or consequences whatsoever. Oh, and the main character is about as broken as you can be, so he just does whatever he wants anyways. His desire for revenge was even forced with the most gruesome backstory of all time instead of being more delicately placed in and developed over time. I guess the thing that this anime was successful at was brutality, but to such an extreme that most people would be turned away from it. In the end. I did not enjoy a single minute of this and just wanted it to be over with every time I put it on to watch.
