Review of Redo of Healer
Hey folks, this will be a review for Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi. I think we can keep this short and sweet. Its just as bad of a hentai as an anime. That's it, if your horny watch a hentai. If your here for a dark hero story then go watch shield hero. Extra if you happen to care: Dark and gritty does not give you a free pass into the realm of goodness. Rape, rape, and some murder and drug abuse and more rape. Certainly very dark and shows the undesirable side of humanity and certainly would be at least plausible to happen if that world existed. Howeverthere is no substance.
This guy wants revenge and through using his specific brand of magic which seems to do a lot of things that shouldn't be simply labeled healing is able to restart the world and regain his memories through a fairy spirit. Then he decides to do his life over again allowing terrible things to happen to him again with the goal of overcoming them faster and getting his revenge.
His revenge comes in the form of torture and rape. As revenge go its probably on the track to be well done I suppose. I can even understand the wish for revenge and see his train of though somewhat. Seems a waste to wipe her memory through healing again somehow though but who am I to judge his revenge. However after his initial revenge it becomes a traveling story where a new girl comes in every other episode and becomes another pleasure toy for the main character with practically no reason to exist. So you might say its a hentai and that you can enjoy it that way. However its not directed in a way to allow for it to be enjoyed in that light either. I mean sure it can tent some trousers but that's about the best it can do.
In total it fails at both things and simply is not worth the watch. The hate hype train was pointless as simply ignoring it probably would have relegated it to the bottom of the barrel where it would normally come to rest without stirring up outrage. I wonder why so many shows feel like the writer would rather be doing porn(looking at you goblin slayer - which at least to me was worth a watch once)
