Review of Parasyte: The Maxim
I felt weird coming to watch this after watching the korean drama adaptation, but it gave me an idea of what to expect, at least when it comes to the parasytes and how they were introduced, and also the concept of the failed parasyte that fails to fulfill its objective, and thus we get half parasyte/half human. The anime had a strong start, as the morals were questioned with every episode. but the ending felt lost, like in the end, you're just free to think whatever you want to think of these parasites. I liked its intense atmosphere, the conversations with migi, but disliked someof the unexplained uncharacteristic actions towards the end. I didn't read the manga yet, so it might have shed some light on things I couldn't understand, but it reminded me a lot of tokyo ghoul, in regards to the question, who is human and who is a monster?
worth watching, but maybe it won't be on everyon'e favorites lists.
