This is trash. With some enjoyable elements that do not save the anime in the end. Detailed breakdown. Story: 1/10 The story is centered around humans being murdered by humanoid cockroaches. On mars. And then Humanoid cockroaches being murdered by humans. There's reason for everything, but it pretty much doesn't matter. The story in the end follows an incredibly boring pattern: 1. Introduce a character 2. Murder them horribly.3. Spend half of episode depicting their grieving friend murdering cockroaches. While there are flashbacks of their past.
4. Murder somebody else, then repeat the scene.

On occasion it throws some trivia about insects at viewer, which is read in a cheerful announcer voice. But in general, everything is drawn out, overly long and not very good. Basically, in teh end I felt like I saw 2 or 3 episodes worth of information. It is dull.

In general, it mostly goes for cheap shocks and gore moments, which are not terribly interesting.

Art: 6/10:
Surprisingly there are some very nice and interesting design for humans and their battle form. However, those designs are wasted fighting hordes of incredibly dull and poorly designed monsters. A lot of cool character designs are promptly killed off without giving them enough screen time, which is a big waste.

The cockroaches often use CG, and that CG is poorly done and noticeable. Backgrounds are incredibly bland and all look the same - depicting martian landscape (which is green, due to terraforming efforts), and looks like it was taken from an old videogame. So, it is generally poorly done.

Sound: 4/10:
It felt like the anime has one battle theme total in the whole series. Well, there were few more of them, but because "cockroach battle theme is playing all the time", they're not very memorable.

Characters: 2/10:
Highly stereotypical and bland. The anime tries to portray some character interactions between them, display feelings, etc, but in the end it doesn't look very convincing.

Enjoyement: 2/10:
I really liked some character designs, but using them in such way was a big waste. Well designed (visually) characters barely get any screen time before getting killed off, and the rest of the anime looks bad in every department - visuals, story, everything. Besides, who the heck managed to come up with this kind of bland and uninteresting monster for an antagonist?

Overall: 3/10:
It is junk, but the character designs are nice. I think a good idea would be to get an artbook somewhere - if it exists, and look at character designs there. The anime itself is best skipped. There are cheap gore shock moments, but they do not make it interesting.
