Review of My Love Story!!

ADORABLE. My Love Story is a pick-me-up, it's a feelgood, it's wholesome, it's heartwarming and it's just the perfect anime to watch for those days where you're just tired and you just want to watch something sweet and easy and adorable. i absolutely loved, adored and will cherish this anime forever because it's a special one. the characters: takeo, sunakawa and yamato are just beautiful characters, their interactions, their personalities, just the greatest. I don't know I think they're very nicely defined characters that are well created and develop in their own pace throughout the story even if not drastically. Overall characterisations between the three aregood.

plot-to-plot like okay. There were some plots i absolutely adored like the episodes about Sunakawa's dad and family situation and the Oda plot were standouts to me that were very well done. One explored a darker and sadder side of family, yet also friendship between Suna and Takeo which I enjoyed. The latter was hilarious and depicted a very chain-linked unrequited love that wasn't forced.

*spoiler warning*
i loved how Suna didn't end up with a girl like we thought he would because of how happy-happy everything was. I really appreciate that Suna was unapologetically himself and is comfortable being alone and isn't so easy at developing feelings for other people because that reality is so real for many and I think it was very important to depict that.

Anyway, this anime is surprisingly deep and is executed very well, although pacing wise is meh, its a 24 episode that maybe could have been shorter with less plots, but I think it's made to be a very enjoyable and slow slice of life. Enjoy the little things folks, enjoy takeo and yamato's romance!
