Theres a reason so many more people recommend this anime than those that dont. Ima be real, everyone who doesnt recommend it either didnt finish it for some reason, or just didnt understand it. Starting with the big one ART 11/10 Lemme start by saying if you personally didnt like the style, I can understand that. However it is from an artistic standpoint, absolutely beautiful. There is a very clean rhythm and flow with the characters gestures, movements, overall scenes, and especially the big ping pong matches. Sometimes subtle sometimes very in your face. When the art knows it needs to be real, itll act real.Itll follow real life physics and lighting and poses. But when it knows to exaggerate, holy wow it goes off the wall. This will be extremely noticeable by the last quarter of the show. It really captures what it feels like getting really into a game of ping pong with your homies, and REALLY makes me wanna bust out the table and go sicko mode. Do NOT listen to anyone saying the art or animation is bad or "ugly". Everything is intentional, and those people havent watched the whole thing or just dont know what good art is straight up.

Story 8.5-9/10
Its very realistic in how it approaches a story. Things happen kind of how you expect them to in real life, a little bit disappointing sometimes. There are ups and downs throughout, some big some small, but the effect it has on characters is interesting to see. A big focus is on characters and their relationships. Weve got a nice cast of interesting characters and really well done connections with each other. A lot of good set ups which leads to really good pay offs later. My only concern is the very beginning could come across as a bit slow

Sound 10/10
Super crisp clean ping pong noises. The sound design overall is very good but it really POPS during matches. I feel like im right there in the hall. The voice acting is of course very good, each voice is so distinct and so their character. Its difficult to mix anyone up, everything from the pitch to inflection is way different between each character. The music ranges from boppin to heartfelt to HYPE. All very good tracks, not all though I would listen to on my own. If i had to rate music separately, I'd say 8/10. Works really well for the show but not as well outside.

Sidenote:
A very small group of people say this show is like a 3/10 or something, none of them understood what they were watching or didnt finish it. Anyone that says its "ugly," doesnt understand or cant interpret art. Anyone who says the characters or story was bad doesnt understand subtleties. I wont go and say its perfect, but im astounded by how low it was rated, and then telling others to avoid watching it??? Thats insane, DO NOT AVOID THIS!! Seriously, VERY enjoyable and VERY well made show.

TLDR:

Ping pong very cool and hype. Great story, beautiful artistic direction, wonderfully drawn and animated, great music and sound, great characters, great story, great watch.

9/10 go play ping pong
