I didn't know much or have any expectations going into this beyond seeing some clips, but Saiki K is a really funny anime (big surprise). The last segment of episode 4 (on Netflix) with Yurehara and her annoying boyfriend is one of the funniest things I've seen in a while, and there were lots of good moments throughout the series. I've never seen an anime like this where it comes in 5-minute installments but the quick pace of them to get all their jokes out from one scenario works really well. Saiki is an extremely powerful psychic high school student who is essentially a god, butjust wants to live a normal life and only uses his powers to get himself out of awkward situations. The other main joke of the series is that all the main side characters are stereotypes from other anime: psychological, supernatural, shonen action, delinquent action, romantic comedy, shoujo slice of life, and a dumb guy with a buttchin. They're all very earnest and annoy Saiki, leading him to say "good grief" more than Charlie Brown. And the humor is always just clicking, I never felt like a joke wasn't landing and none overstay its welcome. The animation style is a pretty generic look that can easily have characters move and react in funny ways. There isn't much of a plot and everything is built for the jokes first, but the whole show makes the most of it with great success.
