Review of Devilman: Crybaby

so only really watched this anime because of all the hype it was getting and unfortunately I dont thibknit lived up to it in my opinion. The anime had some really good bit (mostly due to the art style which I liked) but mostly felt really rushed. Story: 2/10 at the beginning I felt the pace was a bit slow but as most animes are you need to watch a few episodes to allow the story to pick up. However i don't think thats the case here. Most of the story was either dragged out or just rush/ over looked. If the anime was longerI feel it could of had more depth and was able to tell the story more smoothly. For instance (SPOILER) the scene where Akira's parents die was very rush and its basically here his mum on a plane and a couple of flash back moments to oh no now shes dead and his father is a demon who killer her. Just wish they let the story breath a bit.
Characters: 3/10 so apart from Akira and Ryo no other character really goes through any character development (apart from turning into devilmen) and they dont really make you feel attached to them. So at the end (SPOILER)
when basically everyone is dead I didnt really have the "oh no man not name anime character I've vot attached to can't believe they killed them off" it was more of a meh guess they died whos next?
Art: 7/10 okay so i really liked the art style. Its not something see too often in anime and it made all the gore and sex scenes less..... in your face. Like if the art style was more of your typical anime style the nude scenes would of felt more fan service. However i dont feel this style was fan service nothing was too detailed or too realistic. Although some of the scenes looked a bit odd with the art style. Mostly the when it came to the fight scenes it made it a bit difficult to tell who's who.
So in conclusion not really worth the hype but if you want to blast through a anime quick then sure why not. Its a interesting story just not paced very well.
