Review of Tsukigakirei

"Simplicity" is the word used to describe this anime. As much as I fancy the statement "Simple is the best", Tsuki Ga Kirei fits the statement perfectly. Everything is executed in a simple way but it is able to produce astounding effect. Story - 10/10 The story connects well with no plot holes (from what I've seen). Simple storyline yet smooth execution. Art- 8/10 The character design fits well with the anime. At first, the art looks "out of place". However, as I proceed with the story, I am convinced that this art synergize well with the anime. Sound - 10/10 The OP, ED and Insert song is great. They conveythe feeling of melodrama, romance and teenage-life vibe (perseverance, struggle, conflict, factors we faced during teenage-life, maybe still facing in the future).

Character - 7/10
The characterization is lacking for the supporting characters. Although with the help of end scene, it's still not sufficient to fully potrays a character. Instead, some leaves more question mark in my head.

On the other hand, the main cast have deep and well-rounded characterization. Well, it should be since the story revolves around them.

Enjoyment & Overall - 10/10
You might be wondering why the overall is 10/10 when I rate 8 for art and 7 for character. I'm still reemphasizing on my point where "Simplicity" is the best word to describe this anime. The simplicity of the art, character and story compliments each other perfectly. As a result, I rate the anime in overall as 10 due to the complete synergy of different factors.
