Review of Sword Art Online

FEW SPOILERS: The first half of SAO was honestly rather enjoyable. I only had a few gripes with the story line in general but mostly I enjoyed it. There was actual follow through with the love story and Asuna was really cool which is refreshing to see in anime since typically the women portrayed in anime are typically weaker than the men and can't stick up for themselves. However, things took a turn with the second half and the introduction of the second game. They took everything that was unique and good from the first half and turned it into the typical cliche and thesecond half is just so unnecessary. This is totally just my opinion but it would have been much more interesting to see the plot lines from the second game and just smash it in with the SAO part of the story. I think the second half lacks a lot because there is no longer any real risk to playing the game, yet they're still trying to fit morals into game. I understand Kirito has PTSD but it just seems unnecessary and unbelievable. You can't connect because they're not talking life or death anymore. Anyways, this is just my opinion, take it how you would like! If you like it then good for you.
