I really enjoyed this movie. It felt like an adventure that could easily slip in between the YNC part of the anime and the NGL part. The plot flowed easily and did not lag. The climax fight could have been a little better but I liked the thought behind it and I liked how the story wrapped. I found myself laughing whenever we got some comedy to break up the drama. It was also nice to see the primary villain of the movie be a true freak. The freakiness of what he was up to really lent to everything. I don't have any complaints, thoughI would not say the movie was perfect.

If you enjoy Hunter x Hunter and other Togashi works, then you're likely going to like this movie. If you have an aversion to puppets then I would strongly recommend skipping this movie.
