Review of No Game, No Life: Zero
I liked NGNL. I LOVED this. Whereas I think the original got a bit confusing and convoluted, this was just straightforward storytelling and masterfully so at that. The visuals really made things stand out. There are great successes and then there are heartbreaking losses. All being told within one container as defined by Tet. It was simply just a wonderful story beginning to end. In order for a show to get a rating of 10 for me, it has to make me feel, just feel....anything. It has to make me move inside and keep me engaged. There was no point within this movie that I checked thetime to see how much was left so I can plan on getting up and doing things and whatnot. This had me 100% tuned in and I find so few things so good for me.
Kudos to the production team. The dub was done very well and you could feel each individual inflection as it was delivered just as it was needed to be.
This is almost 2 hours that was well spent. I just caution people to make sure you see the original before you see 0.
