Review of Blood Blockade Battlefront
If you really enjoy isekai anime then I highly recommend this anime. While it is not the standard isekai anime plot, the MC gets transported into a new world, I like to call this a reverse isekai, were beings from another world gets transported into ours. The characters are charming and often come off as comedy when they interact, and the serious moments are shadowed by the funny tones. The music, by Taisei Iwasaki, is a pleasure to listen to as well and wonderfully composed. The MC, Leonardo Watch, isn't all powerful or OP: he's a coward, easy-going, friendly, and determined to fix hismistakes. And I think because Leo isn't this great and all powerful being, that really drawled me into this series. And I love it.
I would describe the inhabitants as Dr. Sues like (just not as whimsical). There will be many plot points, as there are 3 Main Characters and several Supporting Characters, but the story never gets boring with so many characters interacting at once. This anime focuses greatly on world building, and its short run time leaves many questions unanswered. But I think this adds to its charm, your thrusted into this world not knowing anything and you just have to figure it out along the way. When an anime over explains their world it becomes too cluttered with info dumping and doesn't leave the viewer the chance to explore it themselves.
There is a season 2 that goes into depth about each individual characters and their lives outside of the organization and I recommend that as well to get a full understanding of the characters.
