Review of Attack on Titan

Don't let the 8/10 rating I've given throw you off. AOT ends up becoming my favourite anime but if we focus solely on this season, it's a really good introduction but far from perfect. One thing to note as a caveat is that I had a few doubts going into this series initially. I only started watching it whilst the final season was being released. Naturally, after having started so long after the first season's release, I came across a number of spoilers which had initially been dampened by excitement. This was the case to some extent and I'll never know how I would havefelt reacting to certain twists if this was the first time I'd seen them. If I didn't have any prior knowledge, maybe this would become a 9/10.

Whether you've somehow avoided every single spoiler or not, I definitely recommend giving this a try. If you've watched this first season and thought 'yeah, it was alright', I'd encourage you to watch the next season and then make your call. That's where it gives you a taste of greatness.

A word of warning though - once you first get hooked, it'll all be over before you know it. Enjoy the journey.
