Review of Fire Force
I am the type of person to be swept up into a story, and be able to ignore all the flaws. I enjoy what is in front of me, and if it can keep the momentum going, I have no problem. Fire Force does have some quirks with the plot, and it can be sometimes generic, but don't let that bother you. Let the plot take you where you want to go, don't try to be critical. I watched it all in one day (after I got started), and it is probably one of my favorite series I have seen. I enjoyed the series becauseof the well timed pacing, and the mystery that kept getting clearer and further away at the same time. I wanted to know about the world, and finding out about it is exhilarating. I personally enjoyed it as a 10, the story pulled me along. I can't say it was objectively a masterpiece though, but I enjoyed it as much as one.
The first few episodes were slow to me, and had me drop the series two episodes in, until I picked it back up. Others have commented on the first few episodes being the highlight, but I disagree. The story pick up pace around episode 12, and I couldn't stop watching after that.
I am waiting for the next season eagerly. Fire Force is a great anime that I feel deserves more attention, and was clearly one of the best of its season. I enjoyed it more than Dr. Stone (and Haven't seen Vinland Saga), and I consider it a truly great watch, that I look forward to more of.
