Ueki no Housoku Plus (Law of Ueki Plus) is the sequel to Law of Ueki. I watched the anime for Law of Ueki and enjoyed it so much that I wanted to spend more time in this universe so I went out searching for the manga and ran into this little gem. A lot of what I liked from Law of Ueki continued into this story. I like how the powers are unusual combinations of random items and special abilities. Like turning trash into plants, towels into metal or chalk into dynamite. It all makes for very interesting battles. I also like how the story doesnot drag on. This series is only 46 chapters, short but oh so sweet.

But what I really respect is that the author chose to replace the entire cast of characters in this sequel. It seems like a risky move in the manga business where readers develop such strong attachments to characters. But I think it really paid off and allows each story to exist as separate entities.
