St. Lunatic High School · review
If you're looking to kill an hour, then this manga is for you. If you're pining for an elaborate plot, character development, and an emotional conclusion... Well, St. Lunatic High School falls a little short. Story - 6 It wasn't BAD... It had the potential to be an interesting and worthwhile series, under all the right circumstances, that is. (But I'll get to that later in the review.) The whole daytime/nighttime student thing was an interesting idea, but Majiko! couldn't quite pull it off. However, if you're still intrigued by the thought of vampires and monsters and whatnot taking classes after you go home, then Isuggest you read Vampire Knight.
I'd also like to address the fact that the tags for this series are rather misleading. They describe it as "demons" and "horror", but the monster students are so cute you won't even bat an eyelash.
Art - 7
To be honest, the art wasn't very fitting for the story... But maybe's that what the mangaka intended. It's like the characters were halfway between looking serious and looking all cutesy. I gave it a 7 because at least the monsters and creatures of St. Lunatic High School are pretty adorable! (Especially the penguin guy and pumpkin head!)
Character - 5
It was all too simple for me. The author tried to throw in some sort of character development, but you really can't develop anything in 2 volumes, let alone 10 chapters. The characters had their moments, but none were all that memorable.
Enjoyment - 7
Like I said before, it wasn't BAD. It was a nice little read, just a way to waste an hour. The thing is, it's just very, very simple. Nothing much to it. No emotional attachment. Just read it and think nothing of it.
Overall - 6
