If you enjoyed the animated show then you are most likely going to love the manga, comparatively speaking the character traits of the characters are highly amplified, that is to say it will reach levels of idiocy and wholesome-ness. The main conflict still centers around the protagonist's academic life and the social themes surrounding it, so it is recommended to watch his journey as a teacher would, with patience and genuine interest in his progress, the reward will be gratifying in the end. Support characters are rock solid and will greatly influence the direction of the story. Antagonists are batshit insane and will keep things fun. The plotpace is slow, almost as if to get the point across that you're watching someone's life go by.
The world where things take place is competitive, decadent and cynical.
Sex scenes are all over the place and make up for a significant chunk of the manga length.
