Don't get me wrong, I love smutty BLs that make zero sense plot-wise. But every once in a while I want an emotional read, with likeable characters and a compelling sad backstory. Park Hanhoo and Baek Chansol are exactly that (if not relatable too). I love me a good thrill, just like our Chanchan and this gave me literally that. It's not very romance heavy, I'll admit and after going through all that business, politics and crime talk, the finale was not gay enough for me. For a casual BL reader (that just clicked on this after seeing the art style on the cover and thecompleted tag) it was a little difficult to make sense of that thick plot, but I still liked it a lot. I was a challenge to keep up with mentally, in the best way possible. I would love to read 10 chapters of them just being snarky and gay, but I guess it left off short and sweet. And now I think rethink my life decisions for the next few weeks.
