Jack Be Invincible · review
6.9/10 I read the comment reviews, and I had two options: listen to the numerous positive ones or listen to Batman, who is notoriously known to hate manwhas. Naturally, I chose the former, but I should’ve trusted the people after all. Though the characters are somewhat well-established and the world-building is solid, it is a “safe” manwha. What I mean by safe is that the author that knows how to create a leisure and casual manwha: one that has an op mc with ZEEERO struggle, “cool” art, and a “bad@ss” mc. Let’s be real here, the majority of people would read a power trip manwha over aprolonged weak to strong one due to its entertainment factor. However, what the ladder excels at is the room for growth, while this manwha has its ceiling at the beginning.
I don’t care how good the world-building or how firmly established characters are; if the outcome of any conflict is guaranteed to be the same result, then there isn’t much enjoyability. Also, the fight scenes are pretty pathetic since the mc ends them in one to three panels… that’s how op the author made him.
This is another manwha that is a textbook copy of a generic regression story, now, carry on since there is nothing new here.
PS: Gave it a 6.9 since I enjoyed the “realistic” portion of the side characters; this doesn’t include the mc, he’s pretty boring.
