Review of [Oshi No Ko]
"Oshi no Ko" undoubtedly had one of the best opening episodes I've ever seen that had me positively hooked, and I must say the quality remained throughout. I really loved the direction this went and the execution of it was great too, I absolutely adore every character within this show I think they all brought something really unique and useful to the story. This show focused quite well on the realism of the industry, whilst not as much as shows like Kageki Shoujo I think the focus was more on the overarching story with the realism to help build the world and provide some context. Ireally loved how Akane's story was told in particular, it was incredibly heartwarming and for me was definitely the highlight of the realism. Each of the characters really did embody somewhat of a talking point about the idol/acting industry which was very interesting to delve into as the show went on.
I really loved the art in this show, really felt unique and helped to sell the idea that these characters are truly magical. The visuals during darker and lighter moments were all done so well and really helped to emhpasise the tone and dialogue, they did a great job tonally in this show as a whole and that's through really every aspect from the animation to the dialogue to the voice acting it was all very engaging.
Overall this was a wonderful show that gave me a lot to think about and was just so damn enjoyable from start to finish, I'm in love with these characters and I cannot wait to see what happens next - I'll probably read the manga soon so I'm very hyped for that also!
