Review of KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!
Only honesty around these parts...Kazuma carries this show. I stuck this through because Konosuba is one of my favorite and probably one of the better anime comedies out there. This just wasn't that funny to be honest. Maybe because I haven't seen it in it's dubbed rendition? I doubt, but it's just not the same. This is for Megumin and Yunyun fans, and lays down a bit of backstory for these characters and the crimson demons. This is great and all, but it's not Konosuba without Kazuma to be honest. Kazuma's interactions with the characters in thisseries MAKES this series what it is. This is foremost a comedy that parodies the isekai genre... but it wasn't that here.
I still gotta give it credit, it does have it's moments but I can't help but just want a sequel to the movie.
To wrap things up, if you liked the comedy and the dynamic between the characters following the main cast of Konosuba, this one just doesn't land as good... BUT if you enjoyed the world and want a bit of a prequel following Megumin as the lead, this can be a fun watch.
