Review of Horimiya

It's perplexing. This show started really strong. Good and likable characters, logical plot development, great pacing... and then it just went to hell at around episode 9. From weird beating women fetish to cringe-inducing comedy and atypical behavior of characters. Bad is not the word I'd use to describe these 13 episodes, but eventually as you start creeping in on last few you realize exactly nothing happened. Biggest development is few people hooked up. The rest is filled with something. For a while we are following relationship between main couple which goes nowhere after a while, then focus switches to some other couples which we arenot so invested in but it's okay, ... then it's random stuff last 4 episodes with a lot of screaming.

Given how high the rating is for this show, am thinking people just watched first 5 or so episodes and then rated it and they forgot to update it. Just weird. It's definitely not 8.3 or whatever it has right now, closer to 7, but not really.
