To sum it up: A single father tries to hide secrets and his occupation from his daughter to "keep" her happy. My Review: Kakushigoto means "hidden things" this anime shows that there is no text book to raising children, and that there is a different side to parents and certain events in the past that they hide. The OP and ED are fantastic, reading the lyrics of the song and watching it you can determine what the anime is mostly about. Story is fantastic overall, it follows two timelines. The past follows the father raising his daughter while keeping his occupation hidden from her and more secrets you will seelater on. The present follows the daughter discovering their family's past and the effects of the father's actions. Foreshadowing is present in almost every episode, early on it misleads most of the people watching, but cleared up later on. The transition to the ending feels unnatural especially if you can't read Japanese as there is foreshadowing in some of the text you see.

Art is great overall, this is one of the anime's strongest and weakest point IMO. There are two art styles for the anime, the past has lighter colors and is less detailed(Indicating that the past was seen as "happier" times), while the present has heavier colors and is more detailed (indicating that the present is more "serious"). The past art style allowed for more comedic and light hearted scenes but didn't allow dramatic and serious scenes, vice versa for the present art style.

Sound is great but is balanced out for the present having more intricate sound design than the past just being simple.

The father and the daughter are fantastic characters however the side characters feel shallow and some of the are just for comedy and are disposed later on.

It was fantastic overall and I ultimately really enjoyed going through the episodes.
