Review of given

Okay so I just finished watching Given and here's my take on it: The anime is overall a good one. I like how being gay hasn't been reduced to something trivial. Gayness has been explored throughout this anime and it's really a refreshing take compared to other Yaoi themed anime. That being said, I feel like no one really talks about the musicality of this anime as much as they should be. The sound tracks are beautiful. The OP is great. I love the fact that the music in this anime is real, What I mean by this is that all the music related aspects have beencovered wonderfully. From the technical know hows to the actual skill, as a musician I really enjoyed it all.

The only negative feedback I have (And this is story related more than anything else) is that I would have liked more complete performances rather than just one. Then again, this is probably the musician in me speaking than anything else.

I'd like to conclude my review by saying this, if you're looking for an anime to watch during your free time when you do not want to be mentally occupied, Given is definitely one for you.
