Review of Redo of Healer

this review has spoilers and i'm sorry about what you are about to read had the urge to drop in the first 10min of the first episode. so glad that i resisted it, cause i had a blast with this atomic-bomb-radiation-ridden piece of shit every single technical aspect of this series is forgettable, bland, ignorable; it has nothing unique when it comes to sounds, art, animation, design, and so on and so forth. they just managed to make tiddies bounce in front of a screen in a really cute way. what i'm really interested in reviewing here is discourse: narratological discourse and ideological discourse, and they both areso, so, so fucking disorienting.

let's start with the fact that this MC wants revenge because all of the shit that he has been through, which is comprehensible in the aspect of reasoning. and then rape revenge comes in scene, with lots of graphical absurdity (like breaking the fingers of one of the characters only to heal them again so that they could be broken one more time - which could've been a fine metaphorization to ''the hands that were used to destroy me are now being destroyed by me''). but, as soon as you have blinked your eyes upon the screen, *BAM*, rape as a method of revenge. does this really makes sense? to anyone? that someone that was raped, the victm, would want to invert the logic, when having the power, to rape the aggressor who did it in the first place? this is repeated thorought the series, as a facet of ''the righteousness of torture porn revenge''.

amongst anti-imperialism (?) and anti-colonialism (?),we have some really weird shit going on about slavery too. MC founds another character in a slave condition and, seeing that she's going through the same shit that he went through, still, buys her as a slave and decides to keep her as a slave. gives her dick and food only to mask out the fact that this still is slavery (as you can notice when he refers to all of them as ''tools'' :^)). not this being enough, his super-mario-mushroom of a dick boosts up her power to fight. i mean, shit; so mesmerized by how many times the production of this anime found ways to dehumanize woman. makes me think that he's supposed to be the CEO of misoginy.

i've been only talking about him because i can't help the fact that he is this stereotypical overpowered, unbeatable child-faced anti-hero. but still, the female characters are so fascinating. they could get into a state of clinical depression that they would still manage to cure themselves in, like, three minutes. they want to fuck all the time with little to no resistance. they love to be subordinated to him. it's really, really ideal.

i could spend another whole lot of paragraphs to talk about this anime, but i have one thing to say that i saved for last, to not be exhaustive: the MC has the power to shift genders and this is a huge thing for his revenge. so yeah, he becomes a girl at some point of the narrative. cool: a non-binary thembo that is also a revenge-seeker, god-like fighter, slave master, brainwasher, gatekeeper, gaslighter and, now, a girlboss.

i love it. 1/10
