The Art of Fugue · review
With the limited technology at the time, I was pleasantly surprised at how well the visuals were able to capture the feeling and musical expressions of the backing track. Though the resolution is subpar, the simple visuals work in its favour to minimise this, as there are not many overly complicated scenes that may suffer from the lack of quality. What would have otherwise been an uninteresting series of cubes becomes a captivating expression of musical and visual intrigue, working together to create a cohesive and interesting piece of media, despite its obvious limitations, and even though it was just cubes deforming in certain waysalong with the music, I found myself feeling the emotions of the music not only through the track itself, but also the movement and deformation of the cubes. Pretty solid.
