Review of Akira

"Nemure, Akira. Nemure, Tetsuo." To be honest, this show was pretty difficult to appraise. I was just sitting and watching, but couldn't get to the bottom of it. I didn't understand it at first, but then it dawned on me. You can call me a weenie, but the whole plot was pretty amorphous until the end, when the story got disentangled. I believe it was made this way intentionally as I rate it a masterpiece. The most unique and unpredictable piece of art, and I'm still being too euphemistic. It's really bad it hadn't got more of screen-time, since it's the least thing this show deserves. Imust not forget the revolutionary animation and also mention that the anime was created back in 1988, so it is completely innovative in every aspect. Another reason to not avoid it.
