This Film is a wonderful gem from the early nineties, with beautiful artwork, much like Ghibli classics or Hayao Miyazaki's Shuna's Journey. The Theme is also like Ghibli, with poverty and war and that it is bad for the people. Another Movie like this is I think Budori Guskou. I have watched the Movie with eng subs from Orphan ones again. You can watch it now on Archive. The Story from the Movie is really slow but so is it the best, in between there are emotional Songs and BGM. Tistou is learning gardening from Mr. Mustache and is realizing that he can create flowers from hisThumb,. Tistou is creating flowers in the Prisons and in the Slums and all People are happy with it.
A really great scene in this Movie was near the end when Tistou is touching the Tanks from his father's company and in the War by two states the cannons only shooting Flowers.
The emotional ending really finished it off for me with the ladder and ending song.

This Movie is for all ages and I really recommend it I cried a lot.
