Just personal scratch. Advised, possible spoilers. Opinion & Informal Art: 6/10 Fine. Anatomy and proportions checked out. No nature showcases to note. I like Tanigawa Nico's style. Panel Progression: 6/10 Backgrounds and panels populated nicely; nothing felt too blank, lacking, or empty for the panel visuals. Flow was fine, didn't feel like there was a lot missing in between the 4-koma panels. Jokes could sometimes be witty and make sense, other times they wouldn't make sense unless you had a decent background in literary works.Characters: 5/10
Their dynamics could be interesting at times and the conversations they would hold would sometimes be engaging. Overall, however, they didn't really feel too great most of the time or at least towards the end. They didn't feel too fleshed out for me by the end of the manga and it didn't feel like such a great sendoff during the last few chapters.
Plot & Development: 4/10
Nothing ultimately happened. The initial plot setup for the main characters wasn't really stuck to nor resolved in a satisfying way in my opinion. I feel like everything was just dropped and concluded with some half-assed happy-nostalgic sendoff for a future off the pages.
Conclusion: 4/10
Disappointing and felt like it was a rushed or unmotivated ending
Overall: 5/10
I really like Tanigawa Nico's works but this was certainly a letdown for me. You can tell that this is one of his works by the way he does character dynamics, art, and gags. Honestly, most of the content and plot/development was okay with me, but I really didn't like how it ended. The lame ending amplified the lack of growth of the characters and their relationships as well as no significant change to the initial plot. This is worth a read for the few excellent isolated gags and interactions, but you may find yourself disappointed by the conclusion's underwhelming and abrupt ending.
