My Little Pony: Tomodachi wa Mahou · review
So, this is a manga. Not because it looks like one, not because it feels like one, but because it technically is one. You certainly shouldn’t expect any manga-like experience from Tomodachi wa Mahou. No new original spin. The content both story-wise and visuals-wise is exactly like what you would find in western magazines for little girls. This is just a collection of few very short unconnected stories. Plot exactly like out of kid’s cartoon. “Plot” being a term used loosely. It doesn’t help that the one volume this has isn’t even half long as the usual manga volume length, and on top of that quarter ofthe page count is used on double-page character introductions.
If you’re an actual young girl or a brony you might enjoy this to some extent. Otherwise, this title is more of a curiosity on your list than something actually worth reading.
