Kaito's appearance in a story is always welcome: he's a character who usually gets away with things thanks to his playful and intelligent personality, and this film is no exception. Characters like Sonoko, Heiji, and Kazuha appear, providing support for the main mystery. The story then unfolds with all the classic elements of Gosho Aoyama's plots: mystery, intelligence, murder, theft, explosions, and fires... BUT what stands out most in this case is the story connected to the Romanov dynasty and the Fabergé eggs: a very moving historical fiction that, if you're a fan of world history, this film is a must-see. In all other aspects,it's the same as always: its classic soundtrack, a twist-filled ending full of intrigue, fluid animation, brimming with each character's quirks (especially Mori-san and Conan... and Kid too in this case).
