Mainichi Ie ni Kuru Gal ga Kyorikan Zero demo Yasashikunai the Comic · review
7.7/10 It’s a fitness and weight loss manga… but with a gyaru?!? Oh, my degenerate tastes have never been so pleased — seriously though, this manga is pretty damn good at a fitness standpoint and an enjoyment one. Fitness mangas are usually unbearable due to how information packed and lecture-like the chapters come off as; and most of the time, the fitness advice is either incorrect or absolutely ridiculous. However, this manga not only adds weight-loss information in an ample way, but it also incorporates it in a pretty entertaining and wholesome plot point. The main cast are decently generically pathetic and stupid, and they probablyshouldn’t be getting along, but that’s ok! Their chemistry is oddly wholesome at times, and seeing them develop is sort of like being a proud father watching your kids grow up — not like I would know.
Most importantly, though, this manga is absolutely relatable and sums up the day-in life of a person that has started or once experienced a weight-loss journey, which makes it all the more enjoyable due to how “nostalgic” or realistic the manga actually is.
For something that I thought I would’ve trashed, this manga really was worth every second spent on each panel — it does have some pretty silly or childish humor, and the characters sometimes become annoying, but it doesn’t harm the manga too much.
