Cat Man · review
This manga is by far the best manga I have read. I had no idea what I was walking into but what I initially thought was possibly a BL or a slice of life type story told through cat people. I was so wrong. This book grabbed me by the hand and took me on a wild ride. The story is about these four anthro cat boys trying to make a life for themselves but has a hard time because in this world they are highly discriminated against and seen as “cute” objects and not really seen as anything other than that by humans. Ifeel like there was something that happened for things to get to this point. Anthro cats are typecast, stereotyped into a roll, mainly because that seems to be the norm, but these four with a small glimpse into there past throughout the manga shows that they want to break away from the stereotypical cute cat star. One works as a security, two of them work in a book shop and the other still works in the industry. As you read further into the book you really feel for them just trying to make it on their own and not be marginalized or bullied by humans. This manga touches on some other subject involving humans and boundaries. I hope I have peaked your interest in this book. I encourage you to go read it and make it apart of your reading list.
