Spoiler warning

This review may discuss plot details.

Just a quick review seeing as there are no reviews about the manga now that it's finished. I'll keep things as vague in case you'd want to read this despite what's about to follow. However, if you really want to go in blind, don't read this review as you can more or less understand what I'm describing here a few chapters in. So, the ending sucks. It's not rushed or anything but the hoops the author had to jump through to justify such an ending just leaves to wonder why they even aimed for such a result. To elaborate, we spend close to 35 chapters observinggood development with a few hints that all point toward an obvious outcome. Despite all that, the author still decides to throw all of that out the window. Instead of spending the last chapters adding on to that development in order to achieve a conclusive and satisfying story, they decide to swerve violently in another direction while giving out the most illogical explanation as to why that is. Surely it isn't a matter of preferences as many people before me have complained about it.

That really is a shame since it was a really enjoyable read otherwise.

EDIT: It has come to my attention that the author addresses this choice on the last pages of the last volumes. While I still cannot forgive that choice, I do appreciate the author's consideration towards their characters, as well as how they go so far as to explain their thought process. Never did I see this happen, so I thought I would mention it.
