I'm at chapter 48 at the time of writing this. I have to say this reads like it skipped the entire starting premise of DomiKano and got straight to the meat and potatoes part where the MC was going through his coming-of-age story. This manga goes the same way, our MC is down on his luck and is taken in by a considerate elderly lady who raises and supports the people in her sharehouse. Though they are all women. What I appreciate is that this manga avoids being gimmicky and falling for the comical tropes. There's no sexual hijinks or anything severe like that, everyoneis (mostly) genuine with each other as roommates.

Instead, each woman in the house has a backstory, a personality, notable characteristics, and a working brain. And we get right into tackling some harder topics. This was something I really enjoyed in DomiKano, where side characters introduced topics that are typically avoided in manga/anime. Like drugs, gangs, and sex positivity. This manga has two characters who are definitely going to involve niche topics into the story, like burlesque as a form of personal freedom and strength. But I dislike how the start for the manga basically has the MC go through each woman's story and then he gives them a life tip and they get better - it's a little too perfect. I understand that we need to know who they are, but the MC is like everyone's therapist and they accept his advice too easily, no push back or "I don't need your help" type of resistance. Or even mentioning how they barely know him and it's odd for someone to come in and change one's life so soon. And also it makes him seem like he's Mr. Perfect when he's clearly not.

Thankfully, there are already three instances/minor arcs where the MC shows his flaws with himself and how he approaches a relationship and how he has to work through them. I already have my favorite FMC, but the way it's going it feels less competitive between the women. It's hard to take sides when the manga is wholesome and mostly lighthearted. There's no real story yet but I can tell Kei Sasuga is going to ramp it up eventually by trying to make each woman's story fleshed out. It's clear that each person has room for improvement.

As with her other work, the art is great. I actually think it could use less nudity because the tone of this piece is more relationship-focused than romance-focused. Almost a jumpscare at times but I guess she really loves drawing nude women... at least in this case everyone an adult and there's no weird tropes to scare off people from reading. I think Kei Sasuga is really just trying to focus in on the life lesson aspect that DomiKano had but avoiding being passed off as an illicit smut story.
