A very short manga but still somewhat of a drag. The art is a perfect fit, adorable and way above only "good" but it does not fix the many problems this title has. While I absolutely adore the characters design, the characters themselves leave much to be desired. Interactions feel weird and relationship dynamics between all characters are unbalanced. The female lead's shtick gets annoying real quick and she is probably the most boring cast member. She got nothing going on and her interactions with others are only about the male lead- apart from with the male lead's best friend, for no reason at all shegot uncomfortably close to him randomly and in an instant. At some point you think to yourself "why would she be 'in love' with MC when she clearly is infinitely closer to and more comfortable with the best friend". The romance, the manga's main plot and reason of existence, feels fake and forced- I honestly did not believe one bit that she even remotely likes MC with how she acts and with what the reader knows. It is safe to say that the author failed the romance, as weird as it might sound.

MC and his friend are well done characters and almost the only saving grace this manga has. While the best friends interactions with the female lead seem too random and close, even artificial at times, the character in itself perfectly fits in the story and pushes just the right amount. MC himself too is almost perfect but I would have loved to see him actually move on/be offended by the female leads behaviour- we even saw him having deeper and more complex feelings, that sadly were not elaborated on. Him being a puppy to her is one of the reasons I described the relationship dynamics as unbalanced, another being the pseudo married couple feels you get from the best friend and female lead.

The story in itself is unique and might have been a big hit if elaborated on even just slightly- but the author decided to do the same things over and over and milk the same old cow again and again. At this point I feel that the amount of chapters -should be- just right but it is like reading the same chapter on repeat and ends up as too much even with just 11(14 with extras) chapters.

It had 1 or 2 moments and the art is a 9-10 for me but I just can't lie and bring myself to say the manga was "good" or even "okay". It was "just there"
