I'm a huge fan of the Kingdom manga, so after reading through it all twice I decided that I should probably give the anime adaptation a try. The story follows the manga pretty closely, meaning that it was great, only skipping a few details. One downside of it being an anime is of course the heavy censorship of the actual fights and killing blows, being much less graphic and bloody compared to the manga. The only major downside of this adaptation for me would still be the use of CGI in some of the scenes. In the scenes without it, the anime looks amazing, but whenit is there the CGI really ruins some of the moments.

However, overall, I really enjoyed this anime and it was the first time in a while that I actually binged through parts of it because it was so addictive.
