While everyone likes to say that harems these days lack originality and are quickly getting stale, I think that Nisekoi is an exception. A lot of the elements in the anime are very comparable to things others have done before (such as the story), yet it's still an enjoyable watch. Why, you might ask? I feel that having a female mangaka has helped Nisekoi despite its status as a Shounen anime. Instead of overloading on the ecchi moments and panty shots, Nisekoi shows a lot about the personalities of the girls vying for Raku's love, plus the feelings of Raku himself. Their character designs areall adorable, and their motives are all (for the most part) pure. Without the pretty outfits, hairstyles, and animation, this anime would not be the same. The cutesy style is approachable and perfect for the feeling that it's supposed to give off. As a female anime watcher, this is one of the few harem anime I actually feel comfortable watching.

Aside from the approachability of the anime for all genders, I find the music to be absolutely wonderful. I've always been a fan of openings and endings sung by seiyuu, and Nisekoi does not disappoint in that area. I particularly enjoyed how if an episode centered on one of the girls, the ED would be sung by her seiyuu and include lots of nice dreamy visuals.

For me, the best part of watching this anime was Raku, the adorable MC, and the beautiful yet catchy soundtrack.
