Whatever ungodly drive made me watch the show is also responsible for this review so let's use this sudden spark of productivity until it dies out like this anime's potential. That first sentence might've been a bit too on the negative side, this is a decent anime, but let's delve deeper anyway. Art It was ok for the most part, art style being nothing special. As for animation it mirrored the art style in quality which is to say good but nothing that'd rupture my balls from the sheer amount of quality presented. There is one jarring, shit covered thorn in my eye and that's 3D modeled background characters.I understand this is done to save time but by god were they other wordly by appearance.
It was like looking at sentient marshmallows in clothing, Jesus save me from the sins I've witnessed.

Sound.
Ear grating opening you won't believe is in english and ending that I could never hear until the end without rolling my eyes. The OST itself had some pretty good moments although it didn't make me pay too much heed to it after I've finished watching.
I liked how they incorporated fart noises into the anime, I'm not even kidding about this.

Writing
Let's keep this short because otherwise I'll tear apart every annoying subplot for paragraphs and paragraphs until I realize I've just wasted 20 minutes on mediocre writing.
Rapid fire shitflinging on.
Horrible romance subplot between two characters that make even copulating fish seem romantic by comparison.
Horrible stalker girl subplot that goes on for too long and could've been bearable if cut shorter.
Some incredibly jackhammered environmentalist messages that at times are just a cut away from sounding like parody.
Mostly forgettable side characters who barely contribute to the plot.
Nigh on troglodytic decisions by some of the side cast.
Final confrontation with the super parasite felt like a slight disappointment due to the way he was fuckled by the MC.
That would be it for the rapid fire round now let's be a bit more positive.
Interaction between Migi and his human host are entertaining enough and the pacing was okay. There was a twist or two that caught me off guard and some really neat touches to the universe but as of whole the story was nothing special. However there's something I gotta give credit to before moving on. Tamura Reiko and Shininchi Izumi had some pretty decent character arcs, despite the latter sometimes having quite schizophrenic personality changes.

Enjoyment
Now I gotta get to the point that kept me actually occupied enough to finish this anime. It being intrigue. The anime gives us additional insight into the parasites as it progresses which I gotta say was done well and actually builds up the world well. Good fight scenes add to the enjoyment despite the final confrontation with a super parasite feeling like a bit of an asspull.
Would I recommend this anime? I guess go for it but don't forget to turn off your brain and keep a fast forward button close for unbearable drama scenes between Izumi and his gals.
