8/10- This is what I wanted from Remake Our Life. This is so much better. The story about basically redoing your life has been done dozens of times, but this one was special. Its a premise you may have seen in a few romcoms, but ReLife does it in a such a refreshing way that I couldn't help but binge this show. There is not a single episode that feels like it was added to hit runtime requirements. The show may also be more relatable to an older audience. The main theme of ReLife is personal growth, and all of it feels very real. Characters are sowell written that you can't help but root for them. Arata is mature and likeable. He faces a lot of problems when he goes back to the school, but each setback helps him grow into a more mature understanding adult. It helps him reintegrate, and it's done fantastically well. The plot twist with Hishiro surprised me, and it works with amazingly well with the larger story elements.

Romance is one of the main draws of the show. Partly because we follow an adult reliving high school, there is a problem of romantic feelings being developed, which is an ethical conundrum. You will get worried at certain parts, but the show walks that line perfectly.

Lastly, do finish the OVAs that finish the rest of the story. It delivers a satisfactory ending to a heartfelt, beautiful, and emotional roller coaster of a story. ReLife is certainly worth watching.
