Dog Days' · review

To be honest, the second season disappointed me truly. As for those who have seen the first season, I must say that it was better. There was at the very least an actual story line to it. The story was indeed a disappointment. WARNING: SPOILER FOR SEASON 1 AHEAD. In season 1, there was that thrilling plot throughout the anime how Leo-sama sees the future with Millhi and Biscotti's hero dead. Towards the end, the action was very satisfying. For season 2, however, the story seems to me as if it was done on a whim. Theart I like. It has neon colors. The characters are all created very nicely. The sound was satisfying as well. Unlike other anime, Dog Days have voice actresses that have very different voice. In many anime, it is very common for two characters to sound exactly alike.
Character--that was a disappointment, too. I cannot help but feel that each characters' personalities are all alike. Take Cou, Rebecca, and Millhi for example. Their personalities seem the same to me and that makes me wonder, "What makes each of them unique and different?" It makes me feel that the creators are using one personality and splitting it into three characters.
I would say I enjoyed it, but again, I preferred season one over this season. The episodes go on and on about the daily lives the heroes have there. However, what is the point? What is the main idea of the anime? I did not expect for Dog Days to be like the customary every day journal entry. I would have wanted some thrill in it, like it had in the first season. Overall, I would rate it a 7, though I am slightly reconsidering the score to a 6.
