Review of Ghost Hunt
A honest to god ghost hunt story. Ghostbusters meet Scooby Doo meet X-files. Ghost busting with the power of science, scepticism, mysticism, and spirituality. It's serious, it's mysterious, it's tragic, with a touch of light comedy to liven the mood. Animation / Art / General Visuals - 8/10 ----------------------------------------------- I quite like the way it looks. It doesn't shine in animation quality, but the art style is nice and scenery well drawn. The atmosphere is on point and comedic character expressions funny.Sound / Music / Voice Acting - 8/10
------------------------------------------
Sounds and music is good. The show has a very old-school ghost story intro track, takes you back to Twilight Zone days. Not something you'd want to listen for fun, but definitely sets the show apart from your average show and their pop-track OP's.
Story - 7/10
-------------
The story is about ghost hunting. Ghost mysteries. That's literally it. A group of teenagers and young adults operate a psychic investigation firm that goes around solving ghost and spirit issues.
The story is full of the supernatural, a world where every myth and legend has a basis in reality. But there's a nice twist in that the main characters are also science capable and follow reason and logic. Spirits and ghosts exist, but there's more to diagnosing a ghost issue than just calling it a ghost. Old houses creak, structural stability can be problematic, earthquakes exist. Science needs to be used to determine the exact circumstances.
So there's a bit of this X-files investigation approach to it.
Characters - 8/10
---------------------
The story focuses around a whole group of so called "spiritualists" who investing ghosts. The main characters is a teenage girl who gets randomly involved with the group, and her POV is used to facilitate the exposition. She's representing us, the clueless viewers who know nothing about ghosts.
Secondary main character is a Sherlock Holmes type of ghost hunter who focuses heavily on the rational approach despite the obvious supernatural evidence. Diagnosing the correct phenomenon is important for efficient solutions.
Additional characters represent the different religious/spiritual practices. Buddhism, Christianism, Shintoism, Spirituality. While the secondary MC diagnoses the issue, these additional characters handle the actual exorcisms and such.
All the characters have pretty distinct and fun personalities. We don't get a lot of information into their character history so their full depth isn't explored, but they get enough screentime for us to develop a connection.

If you want a bunch of mysteries featuring ghost stories, along with tons of mythical and spiritual lore about them, you've come to the right place.
A truly fun show.
