Fans of mystery, this is not for you. Fans of anime, this is not for you. Only those who say: "This classic masterpiece is too deep for you to understand. You're just uncultured." would tell you that this is enjoyable. Of 70+ episodes, nothing of relevance happens in at least 50 of them. So, objectively, it is like staring at a wall for a whole day. No matter how much one waits for it, the wall doesn't change; then, when going to sleep, you realize the day is wasted (again), and the only things left are blurred vision and a numbed brain. The main characters repeat theirdialogues and actions in every episode they appear, like broken records. The doctor doesn't do anything for the plot, this anime is just an excuse to showcase this super deep psychological story about the antagonist. It also sins of the unforgivable 'tell not show', because the narrative doesn't follow the twisted mastermind that the story revolves around, and we have to be told how the monster is a monstrous monster monster monster every five minutes plus flashbacks.

Truly, an ugly Monster no one would like to watch.
