Review of Gintama

Gintama is by far the funniest anime I have ever watched. I was always impressed by the mangaka Hideaki Sorachi who was able to make so many different scenarios so funny and original every time. Not only was gintama the first anime I really laughed out loud to, it was also the first anime I stopped skipping openings entirely. To this day my all time favourite opening is the first gintama op Pray, total masterpiece! This anime is honestly so easy to become absorbed in, since every arc is relatively short but still produces hilarious and awesome moments. Every character in gintama is funny and originalin their own way which makes for a hilarious storyline no matter who is involved, and the main character Gintoki is not only a hilarious character but also the coolest character in the show, since he steals all the dramatic moments.

This is definitely a comedy anime, but don't be surprised when there comes a fight scene or two which get you completely hooked on seeing more of the cool side of gintoki and then you end up binging to get to the next intense fight. The best recommendation I could give for someone starting Gintama is to never skip an episode; every one is gold, even when its a stand-alone one which isn't part of an arc.

This anime will:
1. Make you realize how funny it is
2. Make you realize that the main character is actually awesome and not just a lazy bum
3. Send you on a rollercoaster of emotions which will 1000% make you fall in love with gintama if you hadn't already
