** Minor Spoilers Below ** I had read too many good reviews of this anime not to give it a try, even if opinions were mixed. I also had great expectations as most of my friends highly suggested that I do myself a favor and watch it ASAP. Art, Animation and Sound ... were spotless to me! I loved the characters design, the animation and sound were very good! Keep in mind that this anime is nearly 12 years old. As far as the Genres are concerned, this anime was overall true to its content...Sci-Fi, Slice of Life, Mystery, Comedy, Parody, Romance, School ;
if you take the Romance out of the equation.
If you're looking for a Romance anime, look elsewhere, this isn't the anime for you at all. There are hints throughout the whole 28 episodes that some fated romance is going to happen, but hey, no it doesn't.

Story-wise
The mysterious plot caught my attention right away. It was so interesting that I found myself wondering what kind of amazing adventures we would be seeing these unique characters in...
But it barely happened. First episodes looked promising indeed, but I feel like this anime began in full force 100% mystery and action... then went for a casual, slice of life middle/end.

Narrator point of view
The story is told from Kyon's point of view. His humoristic tone was perfect, it made me laugh...

Endless Eight Arc
This Arc... Most people went crazy watching it, skipping episodes and getting angry. Totally understandable. I found myself getting bored because obviously, there is some limits to repetition. But how daring it was of them to actually do it! I'm impressed.

Characters
Despite the fact that all of the characters were your basic anime cliché ;
Loli, Shy, Cheerful girls, Moody and Passive guys, they were all unique and lovable.
I wouldn't want to spoil anything, so if you are looking for a good reason to watch this anime, it might just be the characters. Even though we don't know much about them personally.

Overall disappointed.
This might sound harsh, but at the end of episode 28 I felt like I wasted my time watching it to the end. I kept watching even if the no-action-at-all got me bored, and in the end, I felt like the story wasn't finished at all. So unfinished that I thought maybe I researched it wrong and missed something, but no, this is really all there is. As much as the idea was amazing, I think that the main plot got lost somewhere along the way...
