Princess Resurrection if your like me and love horror movies and stories then this show is right up your alley. It has all your classical movie monsters such as vampires, werewolves, invisible men, creatures from the black lagoon, zombies, mermaids, cyclopes etc. littered throughout it's 26 episodes run. 2 particular episodes stand out above the others. They used the shows music score and atmosphere far better then any of the other episodes. Episode 8 which deals with several of the cast getting caught up in a typhoon and being stranded at a road side motel borrows a lot from the movie The Thing. Then therewas episode 13 which was my favorite and look what number it happened to land on 13. This episode deals with Hime and Hiro ending up in an abandoned village. Through a little poking around they find out the village like that of Hinamizawa in Higurashi was getting ready to have a damned built near by that would flood said village. A murderer pops up and starts killing the villagers off one by one. This episode also reminded me a lot of the video game Fatal Frame 2 having the 2 MC stumble into a forgotten village with a dark past. The show tho using horror elements never gets scary but episode 13 gets pretty close with the characters hearing whispers directly behind them only to turn around to nothing. Over all if you can deal with the artwork which in my opinion is the weakest part of the show and you too love anything horror you will enjoy this little gem. 8/10
